Making an inner garden with your child on the windowsill is easy. It’s also a great way to learn some patience and responsibility.Start with the flowerpots. Fill each of them in ¼ with soil both in a store (it’s also available in small packages). Throw several seeds to each of the flowerpots and cover them with a thin layer of soil. Water the seeds with a small amount of water. Next, make little greenhouses out of the plastic bottles.
Cut upper parts of the bottles with the knife or scissors (about 1/3 of their height) and ask your child to cover the flowerpots with them. Bottles should be opened to give seeds proper access to fresh air. Now, it’s enough to place the flowerpots in a sunny place and water the seeds to make them sprout. When the seeds turn into little plants you can get rid of plastic bottles covers and water them regularly. After several days you’ll be able to enjoy the taste of home grown herbs.
